2006 - bunian elves? hahah, i'm going bananas. bunian IS elves. oh wait, there isnt exactly a counterpart of bunian in western folklore. in the west, elves are physical creatures who inhabits the forest. well, that's just about all that is similar to bunians. bunians are more like spirits; they're invisible, highly religious and civilized. it is believed, in the malay folklore, that bunians are similar to djinns rather than physical creatures...

how much does this defer from western elves? i dunno. in my mind, elves are either tolkien's or disney's. HAHAHA!
